Small Peruvian Pyrite

“Oh, something shiny!” These pieces of “Fool’s Gold” remarkably reflect light. The word pyrite comes from Greek words meaning ‘rock which strikes fire’. These pieces are certainly striking in their formation. Pyrite is a sulfide mineral, and these were mined in Peru.
